Who the Heck Are You?

Who the Heck Are You?

One of the biggest challenges in business and in life is how we identify ourselves. Imposter syndrome is real. I’ve observed successful business leaders who admit to still lacking confidence, and are worried about being “found out.” I’ve met business owners who identify their worth based on how successful (or not) their business is. They get wrapped up into believing that people view and judge them based on what they do, rather than who they are.

“C6…”

That’s what my chiropractor said to his his assistant after I told him that I was feeling numbness in my left index finger and thumb. I had explained that it was happening occasionally out of the blue.

Dr. Tom explained how C6 is responsible for those two digits. He promptly performed my bi-monthly maintenance adjustment, with a few changes based on the C6 discussion.

It worked.

He thanked me for asking about the issue, as he would not normally have looked for it.

I understood long ago working with Dr. Tom that I shared any peculiarity with him that dealt with my body and how I felt. Almost always, there was something he could adjust to get me back and “aligned” to power forth in life.

We see them from professional media on both sides of the political football field, waxing poetic based on either their gut instinct or simply wanting to be contrarian and controversial.

And we as a society eat it up…

How Do You Age?

How Do You Age?

Captain Jack and Bella are getting old.

That’s a hard thing for me to admit, as it seems like just yesterday they were “young dogs.” They arrived on the heels of saying goodbyes to Blondie (who we had for over 16 years) and Charlie (over 7 years). I recall thinking that it was a great time to be in a stage where a long life was in front of them.

I can see the decline in certain areas…

Are You Good Enough?

Are You Good Enough?

A few weeks ago, Rory McIlroy was victorious for his 20th career PGA win.

Rory admitted after the win that for the past several years, he was trying to “be someone else.”

McIlroy said that he finally realized that being Rory McIlroy was “good enough.” Instead of trying to be someone he wasn’t, he committed to being his best self.

This doesn’t occur just in golf.
