Election Day in America
This is the 10th Presidential Election I’ve voted in during my life. To say it’s unique would be an understatement.
What’s evident is that this won’t be a one-day, Super Bowl style event where victory for one candidate will be clear, and where activities and rhetoric around the results will end. This will be a marathon.
Extra Points: Toothless Bite
All too often, organizational objectives and initiatives are announced and they seem to have some “teeth” behind them. The problem is, while they might be promoted with confidence, if they are basically toothless, employees will figure it out quickly and those projects and initiatives are not likely to be successful.

My run this past Saturday had the evident feel of Fall. It was chilly and there was a pretty good breeze that made it feel even colder. I had my hoodie on for the first time on a run since I don’t remember when. And my beanie hat made it’s first appearance of the season! I was ready to tackle the weather and get my run in.

My skills in changing a diaper quickly, correctly preparing and cutting peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and physically pivoting on a dime to chase children running in opposite directions have been both challenged and honed. I’m happily exhausted at the end of each day.

I remember walking out the door of my house several years ago on a cold winter morning. My garage juts out along the walkway and on this morning, I heard an unusual hissing sound emanating from inside of it.
All too often, I disregard unusual noises as nothing to worry about, but in this case, the noise was too loud for me to overlook.
