Last week, the Democratic National Convention took place on a virtual stage; and this week it’s the Republican turn.

Don’t worry…this isn’t a political missive, so feel free to read on!

If you watched any of the convention last week, the video presentations were ubiquitous. The organizers presented both mini-documentaries, commercials, and prepared presentations. I’m certain the organizers this week will do the same.

Simply put, there is no better way to tell your story than with video. Period.

In a digital-heavy world where we humans have been “programmed” to become more visual learners and to take in information, the ability to captivate, engage, influence, and emotionally move humans is incredibly high.

In the “old days,” you might have countered that the ability to produce high-quality productions was expensive and time-consuming; something only events and large businesses could tackle.

You don’t need me to tell you that this is no longer true. With your mobile device and an inexpensive microphone, you can create quality videos to tell your story and promote your message to your target audience.

Heck, with a little more investment, you can hire someone to come in and do the work for you. You can then go onto the Internet and buy targeted ads with budgets as low as $25 per week, reach exactly who you want to view your “commercial.”

Face it – logic makes people think, emotion makes people act. I learned that from my mentor, Alan Weiss, and he is absolutely correct. The most effective way to move people is to draw out an emotional response based on visual and audio stimuli.

Who is telling your story?

Now is a great time to check your marketing strategy and budget, develop a plan, and tell your story to the world (or at least to whom you want to) so that you can do what both political parties are aiming to do…influence others.

For them, it’s your vote in November. For you, it’s for your target market’s “vote” today, and tomorrow, and the day after for a “forever” relationship.

I’ve included my company video below. It’s a few years old and I’ve already started working on a new one. To that end, you can visit my website and view a whole bunch of videos that tell my story about who I am and the value my clients receive.

You should do the same. Now.

I’m Dan Weedin, and I approve this message…

Be unleashed and be well.

Quote of the Day:

“I cannot always control what goes on outside; but I can always control what goes on inside.”
